What is the purpose of an alternative art school? – Reading Group

i am posting this on behalf of: SHORT TERM SOLUTIONS

As part of our ongoing events programme Short Term Solutions invite you to the Sunday debates series in our semi-project space.

What is the purpose of an alternative art school?

The Independent Art School reading group on art/education

The reading group is an ongoing project to generate artist-led debate on what art education is, should and could be. The aim is to generate new writing

Over a series of sunday evening beers/ sunday morning brunches we will listen to podcasts, read radical 60s texts, debates in the art press and current policy articles.

Debate, dissent, consent, drop in, drop out.

Be a critical observer and/or generate debate and new writing.
